AI: Beyond Efficiency
In “AI Applications, Opportunities & Challenges,” panelists from Australia, China, India and Vietnam shared practical experiences of AI adoption, from automating routine tasks to rethinking workflows across their organizations. We also examined changing client expectations, professional development and governance.
A central theme was that AI is not simply about doing existing work faster. It is prompting firms to reconsider what clients truly value. As information gathering and routine processes become more efficient, professional judgment, accountability and trusted client relationships may become even more important.
The discussion also raised a critical question for talent development: if AI takes over the tasks through which junior professionals traditionally learn, how can firms ensure they still develop the foundations needed to make sound decisions?
Developing the Leaders of Tomorrow
Our second panel, “Next Generation Emerging Leaders & Succession Planning,” brought together six speakers to discuss leadership potential, mentoring, talent retention and succession planning.
One insight that stayed with me was that developing future leaders requires more than formal training. Younger professionals need opportunities to take responsibility, the confidence to make decisions and the support to develop their own leadership styles. As workplace expectations evolve, listening, empathy and adaptability are becoming increasingly important leadership qualities.
The Value of Dialogue
Although the panels addressed different subjects, they shared a common thread: the importance of people in navigating change. Technology may transform how we work, but judgment, trust and human connection remain central to successful organizations.
It was a privilege to facilitate conversations among professionals with diverse experiences and perspectives. My sincere thanks to the panelists for their openness and insights, and to the PrimeGlobal team for the opportunity to be part of the event.
